SECTION_01 What a Listing Is
A listing is a directory entry for a vendor, builder, or brand that serves the Indian mechanical keyboard community. Each listing typically contains the business name, a link to its official website or store, categories it serves, and optionally a short description and contact details.
SECTION_02 Who Can Be Listed
- Vendors — businesses selling keyboards, switches, keycaps, accessories, and related products to customers in India. See the Vendor Policy.
- Builders — individuals and studios offering custom builds, repairs, and modding services. See the Builder Policy.
- Brands — official brand storefronts and authorized sellers. See the Brand Policy.
Community group buys and events may be listed separately where they are organized transparently.
SECTION_03 Eligibility Requirements
To be listed, a business must generally:
- Operate a real, reachable storefront or service with verifiable contact details.
- Serve customers in India (or explicitly serve the Indian community).
- Not be the subject of a documented pattern of fraud or non-delivery.
- Comply with applicable local laws and consumer-protection obligations.
- Provide accurate information about what they sell and at what price.
KeyDir may request proof of operation — such as a business page, an active store, or recent order references — before approving a listing.
SECTION_04 Submitting a Listing
Listings may be proposed by anyone, including by the business itself. Submissions are made through the app and the official submission forms, and must include the required information for the listing type.
Self-submitted listings must be declared as such. Hiding your connection to a listing you submit is a violation of the Community Guidelines.
SECTION_05 Review & Approval
KeyDir reviews every proposed listing before it goes live. The review checks that the business exists, the information is consistent with its official pages, and it meets the eligibility requirements above. Approval decisions are made in good faith and at KeyDir's discretion.
Rejected submissions may be resubmitted with the missing information addressed.
SECTION_06 Listing Data Standards
Listings must contain accurate, current, and verifiable information:
- Name — the business's official name, not a keyword-stuffed variant.
- Link — the official website or storefront URL.
- Categories — the product or service categories actually offered.
- Description — a factual, non-promotional summary.
- Prices — where shown, real prices in INR, subject to the Price Tracking Policy.
Images used in listings must be the business's own or used with permission. Copyright concerns are handled under the DMCA policy.
SECTION_07 Prohibited Listings
The following may not be listed:
SECTION_08 Updates & Maintenance
Businesses change. Listings should be updated to reflect reality:
- When a business closes, moves, or changes its offerings, its listing should be updated or removed.
- Community members can propose corrections at any time via the app or the Contact page.
- KeyDir periodically audits listings and removes those that are unreachable, stale, or demonstrably inaccurate.
SECTION_09 Removal & Disputes
A listing may be removed or flagged when community reports or direct evidence indicate serious problems, as described in the Vendor Policy. A business may request removal of its own listing at any time — see Data Removal.
If a business believes its listing contains errors, it may request a correction through the Contact page. KeyDir will review the dispute and update the listing where the correction is verifiable.
