SECTION_01 What a Sponsored Listing Is
A sponsored listing is a paid placement that highlights a business on the platform. Sponsored listings are a separate, opt-in arrangement for businesses that meet the same eligibility standards as organic listings — sponsorship is not a shortcut past the Listing Policy.
SECTION_02 Always Labeled
Every sponsored listing carries a clear, visible label such as "Sponsored" or "Ad". There is no scenario in which a sponsored listing is presented without its label.
SECTION_03 Physically Separate From Organic Results
Sponsored listings appear only in dedicated sponsored areas, clearly separated from organic directory results. They are never mixed into, or ranked within, organic listings.
SECTION_04 What a Sponsor Buys
SECTION_05 What a Sponsor Never Buys
SECTION_06 Eligibility to Sponsor
A business may sponsor only its own listing, and only while that listing is in good standing. Businesses under investigation or flagged for fraud cannot sponsor. Sponsored status is revoked if the listing loses good standing.
SECTION_07 Reporting Mislabeled Sponsored Content
If you ever see paid content that is not clearly labeled as sponsored, report it via the Report Abuse page. Mislabeling is a violation of this policy and of the Advertising Policy.
