Scope: This document applies only to app.keydir.in and its related services.
The KeyDir Application stores account data and user content required to operate the platform. This procedure covers deleting your account, your personal information, and listings that display information about you or your business.
SECTION_01 What This Covers
- Your account — deletion of your account, profile, and saved collections at app.keydir.in.
- Listings you did not request — e.g. a vendor or brand page that names you or your business without your involvement.
- Outdated personal details — an old address, phone number, or name you no longer want public.
- Your own content — anything you submitted to the platform that you want withdrawn.
This process implements the rights described in the Privacy Policy. Account-related obligations are described in the Account Policy.
SECTION_02 How to Make a Request

[DATA], or use the Contact page. - Identify the data — the account, listing URL or page, and what you want removed.
- State your relationship to the data, e.g. "I am the owner of this listing" or "this is my account".
- Provide reasonable proof of identity or authority where the request is not obviously about yourself.
Requests do not need a specific legal form. A clear email is enough.
SECTION_03 What to Include
- The exact URL(s), account email, or listing involved.
- Which piece of information you want removed.
- Your relationship to the information.
- Anything that helps us verify the request, such as your account email (redacted as needed).
If you are requesting removal on behalf of someone else, state your authority (e.g. legal representative) and your contact details.
SECTION_04 What Happens Next
- Receipt — we confirm receipt within a few days.
- Processing — valid requests are acted on promptly, usually within 30 days.
- Removal — the data is removed from the live platform. Public records may retain references for archival or security purposes; we remove them from the live service and explain any limits.
- Appeal — if we decline a request, we explain why, and you may appeal by replying to our response.
SECTION_05 Limits on Removal
- Platform data vs. third-party sites — we can only remove data we host. Listings on vendor or builder websites are outside our control.
- Legitimate interest — where a listing is needed for the platform's public-interest purpose and contains no personal data, we may keep it and explain why.
- Legal obligations — where retaining data is required by law, we will keep it for as long as required and explain.
- Search engines — removing a page from the platform does not instantly remove cached copies on third-party search engines; you can request removal directly from them.
SECTION_06 Your Rights
Where data-protection law applies to you — such as India's DPDP Act, 2023, or the EU GDPR — the access, correction, erasure, and portability rights in the Privacy Policy apply. This procedure is our practical mechanism for exercising those rights; legal review is recommended before relying on it in a formal matter.
