VENDOR POLICY

The conduct and data standards every vendor on the KeyDir Application is expected to meet — and what happens when they are not met.

Last updated 2026-08-01 Version v2.0
Scope: This document applies only to app.keydir.in and its related services.
The KeyDir Application is a directory of vendors, not a partner program. Vendors do not sign contracts with KeyDir; a listing is a curated reference. This policy describes the standards that keep that reference trustworthy.

SECTION_01 Who This Applies To

This policy applies to any business listed in the KEYDIR vendor directory that sells mechanical keyboards, switches, keycaps, accessories, or related products to customers in India, whether a dedicated store or a general retailer with keyboard categories.

SECTION_02 What a Vendor Listing Requires

To be listed, a vendor must meet the general eligibility rules in the Listing Policy, and specifically:

  • Operate a reachable storefront or store page that can be independently confirmed.
  • Provide a working contact channel (email, form, or support link).
  • Sell real products at real prices — no placeholder listings or bait-and-switch.
  • Fulfill orders in a reasonable timeframe or clearly communicate lead times.

SECTION_03 Data Accuracy

Vendor entries are expected to be accurate at the time of listing. Vendors should:

  • Correct outdated categories, products, and contact details when they change.
  • Not maintain listings for products they no longer stock.
  • Keep pricing information consistent with their storefront, subject to the Price Tracking Policy.
  • Notify the platform (or have a customer do so) when a store closes or moves.

SECTION_04 Conduct Standards

Listed vendors are expected to treat customers fairly and lawfully:

  • Honor the terms, prices, and lead times presented at checkout.
  • Provide accurate tracking and delivery information.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a reasonable time.
  • Follow the consumer-protection and tax laws that apply to them.
  • Never sell counterfeit or misrepresented products as genuine.

SECTION_05 Prohibited Practices

Collecting payment and failing to deliver without a valid reason or refund.
Fake inventory, phantom stock, or inflating scarcity to pressure purchases.
Posting fake reviews, votes, or testimonials for the vendor's own business.
Impersonating brands or selling counterfeit goods as authentic.
Harassing, threatening, or retaliating against customers who leave honest feedback.
Paying anyone to remove or add listings, ratings, or flags on KEYDIR.

SECTION_06 Community Reports & Flags

Community members can report vendor issues through the Report Abuse page. Reported vendors are reviewed on the basis of:

  • The number and consistency of independent reports.
  • The severity of the allegations (non-delivery and fraud are treated more seriously than slow replies).
  • Whether the vendor has responded and resolved the issue.
  • The vendor's history on the directory.

Depending on the outcome, a vendor may be flagged "Enter at own risk", delisted temporarily while a matter is investigated, or removed permanently. Flags are community sentiment and are described further in the Disclaimer.

SECTION_07 Delisting & Resolution

A vendor will be considered for removal where there is credible, repeated evidence of:

  • Fraud or non-delivery of paid orders.
  • Refusing refunds required by law.
  • Selling counterfeit goods as genuine.
  • Threatening or harassing customers over feedback.
  • A storefront that is no longer operational.

Vendors who believe they were delisted in error may request a review through the Contact page, providing evidence of good standing (recent fulfilled orders, active storefront, customer references).

SECTION_08 Vendor-Community Disputes

KEYDIR does not arbitrate disputes between vendors and customers. If a purchase goes wrong, contact the vendor directly; where consumer-protection law applies, escalate to the appropriate consumer forum. KEYDIR's role is limited to keeping directory information truthful — see the Disclaimer.
