PRICE TRACKING POLICY

Prices on the KeyDir Application are reference information for comparison, shown in INR — they are not offers, and they are not always live.

Scope: This document applies only to app.keydir.in and its related services.
Price tracking is a community convenience. It exists so you can compare what vendors charge without opening ten tabs — not to lock in or guarantee any price. See also the Price Accuracy Policy for how inaccuracies are handled.

SECTION_01 What Price Tracking Is

The KeyDir Application may display prices for listed products so the community can compare offers at a glance. Where a product is tracked, the platform shows the price at which the product was seen, in what context, and when. A price display is never a sale offer by KeyDir — the platform does not sell anything.

SECTION_02 How Prices Are Collected

Prices come from two sources:

  • Community submissions — members report prices they observe on vendor storefronts, often as part of listing submissions or updates.
  • Periodic checks — where the platform runs automated checks of public storefront pages, the observed price and the date are recorded.

Prices reflect what was observed at a point in time, including any sale or discounted price in effect at that moment.

SECTION_03 Currency & Display

  • Prices are displayed in Indian Rupees (INR, ₹).
  • Where a vendor lists in another currency, the displayed INR value is an estimate based on the observed listing and, where applicable, a typical exchange rate.
  • Shipping, taxes, and duties are not included unless explicitly noted.

SECTION_04 Accuracy & Freshness

Prices change. Sales end, stock fluctuates, and vendors edit their storefronts daily. The platform therefore:

  • Marks each tracked price with the date it was observed.
  • Considers prices stale after a reasonable period and may remove or re-flag them.
  • Encourages the community to update prices when they notice changes.

A price you see may be hours, days, or weeks old. Always confirm on the vendor's storefront before purchasing.

SECTION_05 Prices Are Not Offers

Nothing on the platform constitutes an offer to sell at a displayed price. The only binding offer is the one on the vendor's own storefront at the moment you purchase. If a vendor charges more than the tracked price, that is a matter between you and the vendor.

SECTION_06 Price History

Where the platform retains price history, it may be shown to help you judge whether a listed price is a genuine deal or a permanent mark-up. Historical prices are indicative; they are not a guarantee of future pricing. Price history may not be real-time — it reflects the most recent observed data.

SECTION_07 Disputing a Price

If you believe a tracked price is wrong — the vendor's actual price differs, or a price is shown for a discontinued product — you can:

  • Submit a correction through the app or the Contact page.
  • Report the listing via the Report Abuse page, selecting "price issue" as the reason.
  • As a vendor, contact KeyDir via the Contact page to correct your store's pricing on the platform.

Corrections backed by a link to the live storefront are processed fastest.

SECTION_08 No Price Guarantees

The KeyDir Application makes no warranty that any tracked price is accurate, current, or honored by any vendor. See the Disclaimer for the full statement of what the platform does and does not guarantee.
