SECTION_01 Agreement & Scope
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the KeyDir Application at app.keydir.in, the official documentation portal at keydir.in/app, and any associated pages, data, tools, or application services operated by KeyDir. They do not govern the community-maintained website at keydir.in.
By accessing or using any part of the application, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the application.
The KeyDir Application is operated by KeyDir. References to "we", "us", or "KeyDir" mean the operator of the KeyDir Platform. The platform includes app.keydir.in and the application services described in these Terms.
SECTION_02 Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the application. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the application only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
By using the application you represent that you are legally permitted to do so in your jurisdiction. The application is intended for a general audience and is operated from India.
SECTION_03 Use of the Application
You may use the application for lawful purposes only, in accordance with these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, the Community Guidelines, and the Account Policy.
- You may browse the directory, search listings, and use application features for personal, non-commercial purposes.
- You may create an account and submit content in accordance with the User Content Policy.
- You may not scrape, harvest, resell, or commercially exploit directory data without prior written permission.
- You may not use the application to mislead others, impersonate any person or vendor, or create fake listings or reviews.
We may suspend or restrict access to the application at any time, for any person, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe these Terms are being violated. The grounds for suspension are set out in the Account Suspension Policy.
SECTION_04 Directory Data & Listings
The directory consists of vendor, builder, brand and product information sourced from the community and from vendors themselves. This information is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute an offer, endorsement, or recommendation by KeyDir.
Directory data may be incomplete, outdated or inaccurate. Vendors open and close, change their product lines, and revise their prices without notice. KeyDir makes no representation that any listing is current, accurate, or that any third party is reliable. Product specifications are community and vendor sourced — see the Product Information Disclaimer.
Some listings may be flagged "Enter at own risk" based on community reports. Such flags reflect community sentiment and do not constitute a formal finding of wrongdoing by KeyDir.
You are responsible for independently verifying any vendor, builder, product or price before acting on it. See the Disclaimer for further detail.
SECTION_05 Accounts
Certain features of the application at app.keydir.in require you to create an account. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
- All activity that occurs under your account.
- Notifying KeyDir promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions, manipulate votes or reviews, or otherwise abuse the application. Full rules for creating and securing accounts are in the Account Policy. Accounts that violate these Terms may be suspended or terminated under the Account Suspension Policy.
SECTION_06 User Content
You may submit content to the application, including but not limited to listing suggestions, corrections, data, reviews, votes, and profile information. The rules that govern what you may submit are set out in the User Content Policy.
By submitting content, you agree that:
- Your content is accurate to the best of your knowledge at the time of submission.
- You grant KeyDir a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free right to use, display, modify, and distribute your content as part of the platform.
- You will not submit false, misleading, defamatory, or harmful content about any person, vendor, or brand.
- KeyDir may edit, reject, or remove your content at its discretion, without liability to you.
SECTION_07 Transactions With Vendors
If a purchase goes wrong — late delivery, a defective product, a refused refund, or fraud — your remedies are against the vendor or builder, not against the KeyDir Platform. We may, where appropriate, adjust or flag a listing based on community reports, but we cannot resolve commercial disputes, issue refunds, or act as a mediator.
SECTION_08 Intellectual Property
The "KeyDir", "KeyDir Application", and "KeyDir Platform" names, the logo, and the distinctive look of the application are owned by KeyDir. All vendor, builder and brand names, logos and product images belong to their respective owners and are used only for identification purposes.
Unless otherwise stated, the application code, design system, and original written content are the property of KeyDir and are made available under the terms described on the Licenses page.
Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use the KeyDir name or branding, or to imply an endorsement or affiliation, without prior written permission.
SECTION_09 Disclaimers
The application is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the application will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that listings are accurate, complete, or current. See the Disclaimer for the full statement.
SECTION_10 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, KeyDir, its operators and its service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the application.
This includes, without limitation, damages arising from:
- Purchase decisions made on the basis of directory data.
- Transactions with third-party vendors or builders.
- Outages, errors, or interruptions of the application.
- Content posted by other users of the application.
Our aggregate liability for all claims relating to the application shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or zero where the services you use are provided free of charge.
SECTION_11 Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless KeyDir, its operators, service providers, and community members from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:
- Your use of the application.
- Your violation of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.
- Your violation of any rights of a third party, including intellectual property rights.
SECTION_12 Termination
You may stop using the application at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the application, in whole or in part, at any time if we reasonably determine that you have breached these Terms, or to protect the safety or integrity of the platform or its users.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including but not limited to Sections 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 — will survive any termination of these Terms.
SECTION_13 Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced through the application and this documentation portal.
Continued use of the application after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with a change, you should stop using the application.
SECTION_14 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable in the jurisdiction from which the application is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising out of these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts, and you agree to attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute informally before commencing legal proceedings.
