The KeyDir Application keeps directory results independent. If advertising ever appears, it is labeled — and it never buys a rank.

SECTION_01 Core Promise

Advertising never affects directory results. Organic listings are selected and ranked on their merits. No advertiser can buy placement in organic results, an improved rank, or a higher vote score. Ever.

SECTION_02 Where Advertising May Appear

Advertising, if shown, appears only in clearly separated areas — such as dedicated ad slots on pages or alongside specific sections — never interleaved with organic directory results. If there is no advertising on a given page, nothing is hidden; there simply is none.

SECTION_03 Advertising Is Always Identified

Every ad is visually distinct from directory content and carries a clear label such as "Ad", "Sponsored", or "Advertisement". A reasonable person should never have to guess whether something is paid content.

SECTION_04 What Advertising Never Buys

✗Never an improved organic ranking.
✗Never removal of negative reviews or flags.
✗Never suppression of a competitor's listing.
✗Never changes to votes, ratings, or review content.

SECTION_05 Advertising vs. Sponsored Listings

Advertising (this page) covers display ads in separate slots. Sponsored Listings are a different, more limited arrangement under their own rules. Both are always labeled, and neither affects organic results.

SECTION_06 Content Standards for Ads

Ads must comply with applicable advertising and consumer-protection law and with the platform's Acceptable Use Policy. Misleading, fraudulent, or counterfeit advertising is not accepted. Advertisers may not claim endorsements from KeyDir.

SECTION_07 Reporting Problematic Ads

If you believe an ad is misleading, fraudulent, or mislabeled, report it via the Report Abuse page. Include the ad, its location, and why you believe it is problematic.
