SECTION_01 Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how KeyDir ("we", "us") handles information when you use the KeyDir Application at app.keydir.in, the documentation portal at keydir.in/app, and related application services. We do not sell personal information, and we do not serve targeted advertising that profiles you.
This policy applies to information collected online through the platform. By using the application, you agree to the practices described here.
SECTION_02 Information We Collect
The following may be collected depending on how you use the application:

SECTION_03 How We Use Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To operate, maintain, and secure the application.
- To understand aggregate traffic patterns and improve the platform.
- To provide account features you request, such as collections and profiles.
- To respond to your messages, reports, and data-removal requests.
- To investigate and prevent abuse, fraud, or violations of our policies.
- To comply with legal obligations where they apply.
We do not use your information for targeted advertising, and we do not build profiles of you for commercial purposes.
SECTION_04 Cookies & Local Storage
We use browser storage sparingly:
- Local storage — used to remember your theme preference and settings on this device.
- Cookies / storage set by third parties — the analytics service may set cookies to recognize returning visitors.

SECTION_05 Sharing & Third Parties
We share information only in the limited circumstances described below. These providers are involved when you use the application at app.keydir.in:

These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies; each is used only for the specific purpose listed. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.
SECTION_06 Analytics
The platform uses a privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics script to count page views and understand aggregate traffic. Analytics data is aggregated and is not used to identify individual users. You can opt out by:
- Blocking the analytics script in your browser or with an ad/tracker blocker.
- Disabling JavaScript in your browser where the platform still functions without it.
SECTION_07 Data Retention
- Log data: retained by the hosting provider for a limited period, typically no more than a few weeks, before automatic deletion.
- Account data: retained while your account is active, and for a reasonable period after deletion to satisfy legal and security requirements.
- Content: retained as part of the public record of the platform. Requests to remove content are handled on a case-by-case basis.
SECTION_08 Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Erasure — request deletion of your personal information.
- Restriction / objection — object to or restrict certain processing.
- Portability — request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent.
- Complain — lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, use the Data Removal procedure or email officialkeydir.in@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days.
SECTION_09 Children's Privacy
The application is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
SECTION_10 Third-Party Links
The platform links to external websites operated by vendors, builders, and brands. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices — please review their policies before providing them any information.
SECTION_11 Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including serving all traffic over HTTPS, minimizing the data we collect, and keeping the attack surface of the platform small. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Details are on the Security page.
SECTION_12 Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated as the platform evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced through the application and this documentation portal.
